Does consistency really matter?

So here goes the first of many post...I hope that these not only encourage you but inspire you to dig deeper and to push further within your journey towards optimal health.

Consistency is a word that is overused in the health and fitness world but there is so much value to this simple concept.

Simple to say but not easy to apply.

Consistency is defined in my book as, Doing something over time when you don't feel like it, when you don't see results, and no one is applauding you. But you stay steady, you have enough faith to believe that it is the key ingredient to accomplishing anything great in life. The small things done over time will lead to an amazing or horrible result. Either way you cant just maintain. You are either progressing in life or going back wards.

Jim Rohn said, " What is simple to do is also simple not to do.'

The magic is not in the detail of the task. The magic is found in doing the simple task  repeatedly and long enough to ignite the momentum you need to achieve your goals.

So within an enviroment of accountability set some achieveable, measureable goals. Lets eleminate the procrastination of not progressing in our health. Lets set the standard higher than a good decision here and there, and lets create consistency!
